Intellectual Property, which covers industrial property and copyright, is becoming a valuable asset and plays a decisive role for the development of every business, individual, organization, and even for the economy of a country. Those assets are really needed to be protected against all acts of infringement that can do serious damage not only to the interests of businesses, agencies and organizations who own them; but also to the prestige of a country and the economy of that country.

In recent years, the issue of protecting Intellectual Property rights are paid more and more attention by the governments, enterprises, agencies, organizations and many strata, especially after Vietnam became one member of World Trade Organzation (WTO). This is a huge opportunity for Vietnam to actively integrate into the international community; expand international relations in various fields, especially in trade. Thanks to that, Vietnam's economy has seen significant development, more and more opportunities have been opened for the various economic sectors to contribute to the Industrialization - Modernization of the country. In the trend of that comprehensive integration and international cooperation, Intellectual Property rights and the protection of Intellectual Property rights truly become a field that attracts the attention of not only businesses, government, but also many Vietnamese people.
