Samoa’s Patent System

Samoa is an independent member within the Commonwealth.  Patents can be applied for based on existing patents in the United Kingdom.  Applications must be filed with the Patents, Trademarks, and Companies Section of the Justice Department within two years of the UK issue date.  This applies to UK patents filed through the European Patent Office.
